Its that time of year again! It's the Lights of Ennis Yard Contest. The agents at City Real Estate will be driving the nights away looking for the best yard lights in Ennis. You can call City Real Estate at 972-878-2222 or the Ennis Visitor Center at 972-878-4748 and just leave the address you like to see picked as the best lights in Ennis. Midlothian man gets 50 years for child sex abuse

Paul Jon Flanigan, 37, of Midlothian, Texas, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of continuous sexual abuse of a child and was sentenced on December 13, 2019, to 50 years in prison. There is no possibility of parole.

In November of 2018, Flanigan took the 12-year-old victim, who is the daughter of a former girlfriend, to Planned Parenthood in Dallas in an attempt to get an abortion. Planned Parenthood notified law enforcement and an investigation was opened.
