Retired educators meet, welcome new retirees

Over forty people attended the Ennis Retired School Personnel Association meeting at the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fellowship Hall on Aug. 19 to celebrate the addition of eleven new members. The brunch meeting was called “I Don’t Have to go to School Today” in honor of those who have retired this year. This is the time of year when teachers feel they have actually retired as school begins this week all over Ellis county.
