Pesky Scurry-Rosser gave Palmer all it could handle before relinquishing the lead in the fourth quarter as the host Bulldogs came-from-behind to win, 21-14. Bralen Lopez scored one touchdown, set up the game-winner and tacked on an interception that sealed the comeback.
The win improved the Black-and-Gold Barkers to 7-1 overall, 3-1 in District 7-3A, while the Wildcats slid to 2-4 and 0-3. Rice (4-3, 3-0) won their fourth straight game, 52-42, over Mildred. Palmer treks to Blooming Grove (5-2, 3-0) on Oct. 23.
