Following a year in which a young Ferris football team that didn’t go as well as desired, the Yellowjackets still produced six First Team All-District 4-4A players while two others were cited by league coaches for Superlative honors.
Head Coach Brandon Layne capped his fourth year with a squad that finished fourth in the five team league and managed to qualify for the playoffs. The reward was a date against state ranked Iowa Park (12-2), which was a very tall order. A 53-26 setback ended the Jackets season at 2-9, though they did pile up 206 yards rushing against the Hawks.
