After three tough defeats, one of them by two and another by three in overtime, the Palmer boys bucketeers pulled away late to whip Scurry-Rosser, 54-45, on Jan. 3. The win was the first for both in the eight-team District 18-3A season.
“The game was close throughout,” said Hounds Head Coach Ryan Fortenberry. “We had some guys who stepped up and made big plays. We will continue to need that type of effort and playmaking to stay competitive in district.”
