Bishop Lynch rallied from a three touchdown deficit to stun Ennis, 41-34, on a muggy night at Roffino Stadium. A 60-yard scoring run with 1:20 to play capped a comeback by a Friars team who dominated the second half over a misfiring Lions squad.
Lynch ran the ball with authority, got three wonderfully timed calls against the Lions, and scored the game’s final 27 points, including all 20 in the second half. Finishing an inspirational comeback, the Friars were as effective in executing aggressive playcalling as the Lions weren’t.
