The advent of the coronavirus earlier this year has had a huge impact on the world, especially considering it has been decades since a bug has affected the planet. Not since the Y2K bug threatened to shut down the world’s computers on January 1, 2020. Everyone was on pins and needles until midnight struck and systems were still operating.

Drive any where in town, along I-45 or U.S. 287 and the signs are everywhere. It is alarming and the numbers indicate it is getting more common and more dangerous.

On the highway texters will occupy the left lane – often because there are fewer vehicles in the passing lane, because they can see further ahead and allow for more car lengths between cars. Never mind the lane is designed for passing.

Texters are easily detected by continually turning their to the right or by glancing down – all to read while they are driving. Many will check for messages at red lights.

After 47 months of relentless badgering from an opposing political party, some of it naturally, some of it contrived, the current four-year presidential term nears its end. As of today, Sunday, Oct. 4, there are approximately 30 days until the Nov. 3 election takes place.

A sure sign that fall is upon us began recently when a certain gas station began to promote a variety of pumpkin flavored treats. How do they know we salivate at the thought of pumpkin pie, cupcakes, and pumpkin roll filled with cream cheese?
