The likable CEO knew his stuff but never lorded over you with an air of medical superiority. Now he is gone.

Logic makes it simple to choose the favorite days in the year. Fifty-two weekends come after first selecting one’s birthday and all of the holidays, especially the paid ones.

In the fourth century AD, it was Pope Julius who determined December 25 as the date of Jesus’ birth, which the four Gospels did not. History indicates he did so to Christianize the pagan celebrations that took place at that time of year. Christmas is more about describing theological truth instead of a specific historical date.

Today we’re learning once again to question much of what we’re being told by the Mainstream Media. When the country is facing a virus that is new and is taking its toll, that precautions should be taken, the speed of the spread and the news about the spread may seem overwhelming.

- Questioning the spread and its impact is normal. Doubting it is not.

There once was a father who took his young son for an airplane ride in a small, single-engine Cessna.

There were only three occupants, including the pilot. A short ways into the flight he turned around and told them the motor was sputtering and the plane was going down.

Naturally, the young lad became frightened.

Few things have changed society as COVID-19 has. The Plague maybe or the 1918 Spanish Flu perhaps. But this virus has shutdown entire countries and has quieted the most strident voices as it has worked its way from China to the rest of the world. Even politicians are trying to cobble together a relief bill to keep America’s economy moving during these uncertain times. This is a virus that causes flu-like symptoms and pneumonia. Why, then can we not find toilet paper anywhere?

COVID-19 or the 2019 novel coronavirus has held the media captive while dominating the news cycles of late. It seems that the media-fed frenzy of hysteria that has cleared stores of toilet paper, water and canned goods, and has cancelled sporting and musical events all over the nation has not reached its peak yet. Plunging stock markets, oil prices and other commodities are causing business-people to tremble in the wake of economic uncertainty.
